Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TG-MS01 (MOG196/MOG_OLP105) is an investigational, first-in-class, in vivo CD8+ regulatory T cell (Treg) therapy being developed by TangGene for the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS). The therapy utilizes a proprietary PLGA nanoparticle platform designed to target dendritic cells (DCs) in vivo. Once targeted, the nanoparticles reprogram DCs to enhance the presentation of myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) epitopes—specifically the MOG196 and MOG_OLP105 peptides—via Qa-1 (in mice) and HLA-E (in humans) molecules. This selective presentation stimulates and expands myelin-specific, Q/E-restricted CD8+ Tregs, which directly eliminate activated, pathogenic autoreactive CD4+ T cells, thereby restoring immune tolerance and potentially offering a cure for multiple sclerosis without broad immunosuppression.
