TG03

TG03 (also known as TGN 167) is a small molecule, orally active direct inhibitor of Factor Xa that was developed for the prevention and treatment of thromboembolic disorders. Developed by the UK-based biotechnology company Trigen, TG03 was designed to provide a more predictable anticoagulant effect compared to traditional therapies like warfarin or heparin by specifically targeting the conversion of prothrombin to thrombin. The compound demonstrated potent and selective inhibition of Factor Xa in preclinical models and progressed into early-stage clinical development. However, following the acquisition of Trigen and subsequent pipeline prioritizations, development of TG03 was discontinued. It is distinct from other compounds with similar code names, such as the CLK inhibitor TG003 or the RAS vaccine candidates from Targovax.
