Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TG1024, also known as Ad-IL2, is a gene therapy product consisting of a genetically modified type 5 adenovirus encoding the human interleukin 2 (IL-2) gene. It is designed for intratumoral injection in patients with advanced solid tumors, including metastatic melanoma. The therapy aims to stimulate an anti-tumor immune response by delivering IL-2 directly into the tumor microenvironment via the adenoviral vector. Clinical development has focused on evaluating safety and determining optimal dosing regimens, including combination with chemotherapy agents such as dacarbazine. The drug was developed by Transgene.
