Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**TG1050** is a therapeutic vaccine developed by Transgene for chronic hepatitis B (CHB), consisting of a replication-defective adenovirus serotype 5 (Ad5) vector that expresses hepatitis B virus (HBV) polymerase, core antigen domains, and surface antigen domains. It induces HBV-specific T-cell responses, including IFN-γ producing cells targeting multiple HBV antigens, while demonstrating a favorable safety profile in phase 1/1b trials with single and multiple doses up to 10^11 virus particles in virally suppressed CHB patients on nucleoside analogs. Early efficacy signals include reductions in HBsAg and HBcrAg levels. T101 is its Chinese counterpart developed by Transgenomic.
