Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tgc-Phage E is a bacteriophage-based therapeutic candidate developed by iNtRON Biotechnology using its proprietary IMPA™ (Intelligent Microbiome Phage-based Application) platform. This specific construct is engineered to function as a Glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist, intended for the treatment of metabolic disorders such as obesity. The IMPA™ platform utilizes bacteriophages as specialized delivery or production vehicles for therapeutic proteins, potentially offering a novel method for sustained GLP-1 receptor activation. Tgc-Phage E is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
