Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TGM-258 is an investigational GalNAc-conjugated small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutic being developed by Tangram Therapeutics (formerly E-Therapeutics) for the treatment of heart failure. Utilizing the company's proprietary GalOmic platform, the drug is designed to selectively target hepatocytes in the liver to silence a novel, undisclosed gene involved in the pathogenesis of heart failure. In preclinical models, TGM-258 has demonstrated the ability to improve cardiac output and ejection fraction while reducing cardiac fibrosis. The therapy aims to provide a safer and more effective treatment option with the potential for infrequent dosing to improve patient adherence.
