TH2 NanoAb is a multi-specific nanobody candidate being developed by Scinai Immunotherapeutics (formerly BiondVax) for the treatment of Type 2 (TH2) mediated inflammatory diseases, including atopic dermatitis, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The therapeutic is generated using Scinai's proprietary NanoAb platform, which produces alpaca-derived, single-domain antibodies (VHH) characterized by high thermal stability, superior binding affinity, and the potential for more effective and convenient administration routes compared to traditional monoclonal antibodies. In collaboration with the Max Planck Institute and University Medical Center Göttingen (UMG), Scinai is characterizing NanoAbs aimed at key signaling molecules within the TH2 pathway, such as IL-4, IL-13, IL-4Ra, and TSLP, to modulate the underlying immune response in allergic and respiratory conditions. The program is currently in early development, with clinical trials anticipated to begin around 2027.
