Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Theracurmin CR-031P is a highly bioavailable curcumin formulation developed by Theravalues Corporation. It utilizes submicron particle technology and colloidal dispersion (using gum ghatti) to enhance the water dispersibility and oral absorption of curcumin, a polyphenol derived from turmeric (*Curcuma longa*). This formulation reportedly achieves 18-36 times higher bioavailability than standard curcumin powder. While marketed as a dietary supplement (brand name BIHOLON in Japan), it has been investigated in clinical settings for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects in conditions such as cognitive decline, common cold symptoms, and as an adjunct in cancer immunotherapy.
