Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TheraFill is a sterile, injectable dermal filler composed of highly purified porcine-derived atelocollagen. It is indicated for the correction of facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, through soft-tissue augmentation. The product is manufactured by removing the immunogenic telopeptides from porcine collagen, resulting in atelocollagen that is highly biocompatible and similar in structure to human dermal collagen. Unlike bovine-derived fillers, TheraFill does not carry the risk of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) and typically does not require pre-injection skin testing. It acts as a scaffold that supports cellular influx and tissue reconstruction at the injection site.
