Overview

Theramine + naproxen is a combination therapy consisting of Theramine, a medical food formulated for the dietary management of pain and inflammatory disorders, and naproxen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat pain and inflammation. Theramine is designed to address metabolic processes associated with chronic pain conditions such as back pain, fibromyalgia, neuropathic pain, and inflammatory pain[2][3]. Naproxen works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), thereby reducing prostaglandin synthesis involved in inflammation and pain signaling. Clinical studies have shown that the combination may provide superior functional improvement compared to naproxen alone while potentially mitigating some adverse effects associated with NSAID monotherapy[3]. The combination is intended for patients who require both dietary management of underlying metabolic imbalances contributing to chronic pain as well as pharmacological anti-inflammatory action.
