Theravac is an investigational **therapeutic melanoma vaccine** comprising a genetically detoxified recombinant *Bordetella pertussis* adenylate cyclase toxin vector coupled through its catalytic site to the HLA-A2-restricted tyrosinase A2 epitope YMDGTMSQV. The vector targets CD11b-positive antigen-presenting cells through alphaMbeta2 integrin, enabling processing and MHC class I presentation of the tyrosinase epitope to induce melanoma-directed cytotoxic T-cell responses.
