Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Theraworx Relief Muscle Cramp and Spasm Relief Foam is a topical, unapproved homeopathic OTC foam marketed by Avadim for temporary relief of muscle cramps, spasms, tightness, soreness, and post-cramp discomfort. Its labeled active ingredient is magnesium sulfate heptahydrate, also described as *Magnesia sulphurica* 6X at 0.05% HPUS; the formulation also contains topical vehicle and skin-conditioning ingredients such as water, aloe, vitamin E, glycerin, allantoin, and beta-glucan. A registered but withdrawn Phase 4 study evaluated Theraworx Foam for carpal tunnel syndrome. FDA labeling states that the homeopathic product has not been evaluated for safety or efficacy and that FDA is not aware of scientific evidence supporting homeopathy as effective.
