Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Thermella (VMS-BH02) is a nonhormonal, botanical dietary supplement developed by Bonafide Health (an indirect subsidiary of Otsuka Pharmaceutical) for the management of menopausal vasomotor symptoms (VMS), such as hot flashes and night sweats. It is formulated as a proprietary blend of curcumin extract (specifically Longvida optimized curcumin extract), decaffeinated green tea extract, and spirulina extract. Thermella acts as a neurokinin 3 receptor (NK3R) antagonist, blocking the neurokinin B (NKB) pathway to restore balance to the body's thermoregulatory center in the hypothalamus. It is marketed as a hormone-free, prescription-free alternative to hormone replacement therapy and prescription NK3R antagonists.
