Drug intelligence / Profile preview
THG-1001 is a second-generation oral testosterone undecanoate formulation being developed by TesoRx for the treatment of male hypogonadism, designed to restore normal testosterone levels using an optimized oral delivery technology that enhances intestinal absorption and reduces variability compared with older oral testosterone products.[7][9] It is intended as a convenient, non-injectable androgen replacement therapy that can achieve physiologic testosterone exposure while potentially minimizing hepatic first-pass effects relative to earlier oral androgens.[7] THG-1001 has been the subject of regional partnering efforts, including licensing discussions for development and commercialization in Japan.[9]
