**Thiolanox** is a high-dose inhaled nitric oxide (NO) gaseous formulation (5,000 ppm or 0.5% v/v blended with medical-grade nitrogen) developed by Novoteris for treating severe respiratory infections, particularly in cystic fibrosis (CF) and COVID-19-associated lung complications. Delivered via specialized inhalation devices like Novoteris' INODD and high-pressure cylinders supplied by Mallinckrodt, it leverages NO's antimicrobial properties to reduce drug-resistant bacteria and biofilms in the lungs, alongside pulmonary vasodilation to improve oxygenation.
