Overview
Thiosildenafil is a **small-molecule sildenafil analogue** in which sulfur replaces oxygen in the pyrazolopyrimidine core. It is not a legitimate approved or clinically developed pharmaceutical product; rather, it has been reported as an **undeclared adulterant** in sexual-enhancement dietary supplements and related health products. Based on its close structural relationship to sildenafil, thiosildenafil is generally understood to belong to the **phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitor analogue** family and is therefore expected to have PDE5-inhibitory pharmacology, but its human pharmacology, efficacy, toxicology, and safety have not been adequately characterized in formal development programs.
