Overview

An investigational adoptive cellular immunotherapy consisting of HLA-matched, third-party donor-derived T-lymphocytes specific for multiple viral and fungal pathogens. Developed by the University of Sydney and Westmead Hospital, the therapy targets cytomegalovirus (CMV), Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), adenovirus, as well as fungal species including *Aspergillus* and *Candida*. The T-cells are expanded from healthy donor apheresis products using activation markers like CD137 to select for pathogen-specific populations. It is intended for the treatment of refractory infections in patients following allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) or solid organ transplantation (SOT). The therapy aims to restore cellular immunity against common opportunistic pathogens in immunocompromised individuals.
