This is an investigational allogeneic cell therapy consisting of third-party latent membrane protein (LMP)-specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) developed by New York Medical College. The therapy is designed to treat Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-associated malignancies, including Hodgkin lymphoma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and chronic active EBV infection. The CTLs are expanded from healthy donors and trained to recognize and eliminate cells expressing the EBV antigens LMP1 and LMP2, which are frequently expressed in EBV-driven lymphomas. By using "off-the-shelf" third-party cells, the therapy aims to provide a rapid treatment option for patients with refractory or relapsed disease, particularly children, adolescents, and young adults.
