Overview
ThisCART-19C is an allogeneic, "off-the-shelf" chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by Fundamenta Therapeutics. It is an engineered T-cell product designed to target CD19, a protein expressed on the surface of B-cell malignancies. ThisCART-19C represents an upgraded version of the company's ThisCART platform, incorporating viral evading strategies intended to promote extended persistence of the CAR-T cells in vivo. By recognizing and binding to CD19 on tumor cells, the therapy mediates a cytotoxic immune response. It is currently in preclinical development for the treatment of advanced cancers, specifically CD19-positive B-cell malignancies such as lymphomas and leukemias.
