THOR-213 is an antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) therapeutic candidate developed by THOR Biopharma. It is designed to target the Macrophage Migration Inhibitory Factor (MIF) and its cognate receptor CD74, effectively inhibiting the MIF-CD74 signaling axis. This axis is known to play a critical role in promoting pro-inflammatory environments and tumor progression. By reducing the expression of these components through antisense-mediated knockdown, THOR-213 aims to treat diseases where MIF-CD74 signaling is dysregulated, such as autoimmune disorders and various cancers. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development, specifically undergoing candidate optimization.
