Overview

This is a combination of two agents with distinct pharmacological actions: - **Thrombin** is a serine protease enzyme that plays a central role in the coagulation cascade. It converts fibrinogen to fibrin, leading to clot formation. Thrombin is used topically as a hemostatic agent to control bleeding during surgical procedures or from minor wounds[8]. - **L-dopa (levodopa)** is an amino acid precursor of dopamine. It crosses the blood-brain barrier and is converted into dopamine in the brain, supplementing deficient levels seen in Parkinson's disease and related disorders. L-dopa is primarily used for symptomatic treatment of Parkinson's disease[2][5]. There are no known approved pharmaceutical products or clinical evidence supporting the use of this specific combination (thrombin + L-dopa) as a single drug entity for any indication.
