Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Thrombovoren is a topical combination emulgel containing diclofenac diethylamine and heparin sodium. Developed by Tunggal Idaman Abdi, it is formulated to treat acute blunt soft-tissue injuries, such as sprains, strains, and contusions, by addressing both pain and bruising simultaneously. Diclofenac diethylamine acts as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) to reduce pain and inflammation. Heparin sodium acts as an anticoagulant by binding to antithrombin-III, which accelerates the inhibition of coagulation factors like thrombin and factor Xa, thereby promoting the resolution of hematomas and bruising. Thrombovoren was approved and launched in Indonesia in 2026.
