Drug intelligence / Profile preview
THT Tri-Conjugate is a preclinical-stage gold nanorod bioconjugate being developed by Sona Nanotech for the treatment of solid tumors. The therapy leverages Sona's proprietary, biocompatible, CTAB-free gold nanorods (GNRs) to create an antibody-drug-GNR tri-conjugate. This construct is designed to actively target specific cancer cells via the antibody component, deliver a cytotoxic drug payload, and enable targeted hyperthermia therapy (THT) upon activation with near-infrared (NIR) light. The localized heat generated by the gold nanorods induces apoptotic cancer cell death and stimulates immune activation, while the conjugated drug provides direct cytotoxicity. The specific molecular target and drug payload of the first scale-up conjugate have not been publicly disclosed.
