Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Thykamine** is a proprietary plant-derived botanical drug candidate consisting of a spinach-leaf thylakoid extract. It is a non-steroidal, multi-component anti-inflammatory and antioxidant therapy rather than a single chemically defined small molecule. The program originated at PurGenesis Technologies and is being advanced by Devonian Health Group. In clinical studies, topical PUR 0110 cream showed activity in mild-to-moderate atopic dermatitis, while a rectal-enema formulation completed a Phase 2 study in distal ulcerative colitis. Devonian subsequently received Health Canada authorization in July 2026 to initiate a seamless Phase 2/3 pediatric atopic-dermatitis study. Preclinical work also supports investigation in metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis through anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic effects.
