Thyme honey is a natural product produced by bees that collect nectar primarily from thyme (Thymus spp.) flowers. It is not a pharmaceutical drug but is widely used as a traditional remedy and dietary supplement. Thyme honey contains various bioactive compounds, including phenolic acids, flavonoids, and organic acids such as ascorbic acid, citric acid, and malic acid. It also promotes wound healing through osmotic effects that draw out fluids from wounds while providing an antimicrobial barrier[5].
