Thymoquinone-oxime (TQ-Ox) is a novel synthetic oxime derivative of thymoquinone, the primary bioactive constituent of *Nigella sativa* (black cumin). Developed as a potential antineoplastic agent, TQ-Ox has demonstrated significant cytotoxic, genotoxic, and pro-apoptotic activities in preclinical models of ovarian cancer. Its mechanism of action involves the induction of intracellular reactive oxygen species (iROS) and calcium (iCa2+) accumulation, leading to the depletion of glutathione (GSH) levels and the loss of mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP). These cellular changes culminate in DNA damage and the activation of apoptotic pathways, making it a candidate for further investigation in gynecological malignancies.
