Tiagin is a vaginal topical treatment formulated as softgel capsules containing **TIAB** (a patented complex of microcrystalline titanium dioxide and covalently linked monovalent silver ions), sodium hyaluronate, and *Aloe barbadensis* extract. It is primarily utilized as an adjuvant therapy to prevent postoperative complications following gynecological surgeries, such as total hysterectomy or cervical conization, and to manage vaginal infections including those caused by bacteria, fungi, and viruses (e.g., HPV). The TIAB component functions as a broad-spectrum antimicrobial by releasing silver ions that disrupt microbial membranes and DNA while also preventing the formation of pathogenic biofilms. The addition of sodium hyaluronate and aloe extract facilitates tissue repair and re-epithelialization by maintaining a hydrated environment and stimulating collagen production and modeling.
