Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tianjiang Xueshuantong pill is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) product manufactured by Jiangyin Tianjiang Pharmaceutical, primarily indicated for the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, including acute cerebral infarction (stroke). The formulation is based on the total saponins of *Panax notoginseng* (PNS), which include ginsenosides Rg1 and Rb1, and notoginsenoside R1. The drug functions by promoting blood circulation, resolving blood stasis, and improving microvascular perfusion. In clinical settings, it is often evaluated as an adjunctive therapy to standard thrombolytic agents like alteplase (rtPA) and human urinary kallindinogenase to enhance neurological recovery and reduce inflammatory markers such as C-reactive protein (CRP) and fibrinogen levels in patients following an ischemic event.
