Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tianma Mihuanjun Pian is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation composed of extracts from *Gastrodia elata* (Tianma) and the fermented mycelium of *Armillaria mellea* (honey fungus). Developed and manufactured by Shenhua Pharmaceutical, it is primarily indicated for the treatment of dizziness, headache, limb numbness, and epileptic convulsions. The pharmacological action is attributed to the sedative, anticonvulsant, and neuroprotective properties of its constituents, notably gastrodin from *Gastrodia elata*, which is known to modulate GABAergic signaling. It is administered orally and is widely used in China for neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.
