Overview
Tianmeng Oral Liquid (TMOL) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) compound preparation composed of seventeen herbal ingredients, including *Acanthopanax senticosus*, *Polygonatum sibiricum*, *Rehmannia glutinosa*, *Lycium chinense*, *Fructus Mori*, *Epimedium brevicornu*, *Silkworm moth*, *Astragalus membranaceus*, and *Codonopsis pilosula*. Formulated according to the classical 'Jun-Chen-Zuo-Shi' principles, it is primarily indicated for the treatment of insomnia, particularly cases caused by deficiency of the spleen and kidney. As a multi-component herbal formulation, TMOL exhibits a multi-target pharmacological profile that modulates central nervous system activity, neuroendocrine regulation, and immune homeostasis. Beyond primary insomnia, it has been investigated for anxiety, depressive symptoms, psychosomatic disorders, and as an adjunct therapy for post-stroke insomnia and antipsychotic-induced side effects in patients with schizophrenia.
