Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tiaogan Lipi is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed by the Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is primarily used as an adjuvant therapy for patients with primary liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma), particularly those undergoing transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE). The formula is based on the TCM principle of "regulating the liver and strengthening the spleen" (Tiaogan Lipi), which aims to address the underlying systemic imbalances associated with liver disease. Clinical research, such as trial ChiCTR-IOR-16008036, evaluates its efficacy in preventing recurrence and improving the quality of life and liver function in post-TACE patients.
