Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tiaogan Lipi Fang (调肝理脾方) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed and utilized by the Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The formula is designed based on the TCM therapeutic principles of 'soothing the liver' (Tiaogan) and 'regulating the spleen' (Lipi), which are intended to address the underlying patterns of liver qi stagnation and spleen deficiency common in patients with chronic liver diseases. It is primarily investigated as an adjuvant therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), particularly in patients undergoing transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE). The formula aims to alleviate post-embolization syndrome, protect liver function, modulate the immune system, and improve the quality of life and long-term prognosis of patients with primary liver cancer.
