Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TiaoGanBuXuYiDu (TGBX) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula developed by researchers at Dongzhimen Hospital, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B (CHB). It is a multi-component herbal mixture containing bioactive constituents such as berberine, paeoniflorin, and jatrorrhizine. TGBX exerts its therapeutic effects through immunomodulation, specifically by suppressing serum viral antigens (HBsAg and HBeAg), improving liver function (reducing ALT/AST levels), restoring the hepatic CD4+/CD8+ T-cell balance, and reversing CD8+ T-cell exhaustion (reducing PD-1+ and CXCR6+ exhausted T cells).
