Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tiaoganlipi prescription granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated to Capital Medical University. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and its associated laryngopharyngeal reflux disease (LPRD). The prescription is based on the TCM therapeutic principle of "regulating the liver and strengthening the spleen" (Tiao Gan Li Pi) to address the underlying disharmony believed to cause reflux symptoms. In clinical trials, it is often administered as an oral granule in combination with proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) like omeprazole to enhance symptomatic relief and improve patient outcomes.
