Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tiaopi Anchang Decoction (TPACD) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) oral formula composed of edible botanical drugs, developed for the treatment of colorectal cancer (CRC). It is primarily utilized as a complementary therapy in combination with standard adjuvant chemotherapy, such as the CAPOX regimen (capecitabine and oxaliplatin), for patients with stage III or high-risk stage II CRC. Clinical studies, including a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial (ChiCTR2200065759), have demonstrated that TPACD significantly improves disease-free survival (DFS), reduces chemotherapy-induced adverse reactions, and enhances the quality of life for patients. The decoction is administered orally and is thought to work through multi-target modulation of the body's internal environment to prevent recurrence and metastasis.
