Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tiaoshen Anti-cancer Granules is a patented Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by the Shanghai Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is designed based on the Mind-Regulating and Anti-Cancer theory to treat cancer-related insomnia and potentially improve survival in patients with advanced ovarian cancer. The formula consists of four specific herbs: *Astragalus membranaceus*, *Paris polyphylla*, *Ziziphus jujuba* var. *spinosa* (Spina Date Seed), and *Curcuma aromatica*. It is manufactured using modern standardized processes such as dynamic counter-current extraction and spray drying to ensure consistency. The drug is currently being evaluated in a Phase 2/3 clinical trial in combination with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) for patients undergoing standard platinum-based chemotherapy.
