Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination of tibolone, a synthetic steroid hormone with estrogenic, progestogenic, and androgenic activity, and Xiangshao (often formulated as "Xiangshao granules"), a proprietary Chinese herbal medicine. Tibolone acts primarily as an agonist at estrogen receptors but also has progestogenic and androgenic effects. It is used for the management of menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, low libido, vaginal dryness, and prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis[3][5][8][9]. Xiangshao granules are used in traditional Chinese medicine to relieve peri-menopausal symptoms—especially autonomic nervous dysfunction like hot flashes or night sweats—by mechanisms thought to involve modulation of serotonin activity[1]. The combination may be considered in clinical practice for short-term relief of menopausal symptoms (as "combined regulation") or alongside GnRH-a therapy; however, there is no evidence that this specific combination is an approved pharmaceutical product or widely studied fixed-dose formulation.
