Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BRILINTA + ASPIRINA JUNIOR is a fixed-dose combination (FDC) investigational drug product developed by Laboratorios Silanes. It combines 90 mg of ticagrelor, a reversible P2Y12 receptor antagonist, with 100 mg of acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin), a cyclooxygenase (COX) inhibitor. This dual antiplatelet therapy is intended for the treatment of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and myocardial infarction. By combining these two active ingredients into a single solid oral formulation, the product aims to simplify the dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) regimen for patients. The combination has been evaluated in a Phase 1 crossover bioavailability study comparing the FDC formulation against the co-administration of the individual reference monotherapies, Brilinta (AstraZeneca) and Aspirina Junior (Bayer).
