Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Ticlopidine + ginkgo biloba extract** is an oral fixed-dose antiplatelet combination marketed by Yuyu Pharma as **Yuclid**. Each film-coated tablet contains ticlopidine hydrochloride 250 mg and Ginkgo biloba extract 80 mg. Ticlopidine is a thienopyridine prodrug whose active metabolite irreversibly inhibits platelet P2Y12 signaling, thereby suppressing ADP-mediated platelet activation and aggregation; the standardized Ginkgo biloba extract provides complementary, multi-constituent antiplatelet and antioxidant activity. In South Korea, Yuclid is approved as an alternative to concomitant ticlopidine plus Ginkgo biloba extract therapy for chronic arterial insufficiency, ischemic cerebrovascular disease including transient ischemic attack and cerebral infarction, coronary artery disease, and prevention of subacute coronary-stent thrombosis.
