Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination of ticlopidine and itraconazole. Ticlopidine is a platelet aggregation inhibitor that works by preventing binding of adenosine diphosphate (ADP) to its platelet receptor, impairing ADP-mediated activation of the glycoprotein GPIIb/IIIa complex. Itraconazole is an antifungal medication that acts as a CYP3A inhibitor. When used together, these drugs can affect the metabolism of other medications through their effects on different cytochrome P450 enzymes.
