tifuvirtide

Tifuvirtide is a synthetic peptide drug that functions as an HIV-1 fusion inhibitor. It is designed to block the entry of the human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) into host cells by binding to the gp41 subunit of the viral envelope glycoprotein, thereby preventing the conformational changes required for fusion between viral and cellular membranes.
