This combination has been explored in early-phase clinical trials for advanced/metastatic melanoma, particularly in patients who experienced progression with previous PD-1 inhibitor therapy. The specific trial cohort combining tilsotolimod with pembrolizumab was discontinued following phase 1, with the majority of the program shifting to combinations with ipilimumab[1][5].
