Timacor

Timacor is an oral cardiovascular medication containing timolol maleate, a nonselective beta-adrenergic receptor blocker (beta-blocker). Marketed by Ethyx Pharmaceuticals, it is primarily indicated for the treatment of hypertension and the management of patients in the post-myocardial infarction phase to reduce cardiovascular mortality. The drug functions by competitively blocking both beta-1 and beta-2 adrenergic receptors, which leads to a reduction in heart rate, cardiac output, and blood pressure.
