Timolol + latanoprost is a fixed-dose combination ophthalmic therapy used to reduce elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. The combination consists of timolol, a non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor antagonist, and latanoprost, a prostaglandin F2-alpha analogue. Timolol lowers IOP by reducing the production of aqueous humor in the ciliary epithelium, while latanoprost lowers IOP by increasing the uveoscleral outflow of aqueous humor.
