Overview
Timolol maleate gel is a non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor blocking agent used in the treatment of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma. When applied topically on the eye, it forms a gel in the precorneal tear film that is subsequently removed by the flow of tears.
