Tioxolone

Tioxolone is a small molecule inhibitor of the metalloenzyme carbonic anhydrase I. It has been primarily used as a topical dermatological agent for the treatment of acne and psoriasis vulgaris. Tioxolone exhibits cytostatic, antipsoriatic, antibacterial, and anti-mycotic properties.
