Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TISA-818 is a long-acting tri-agonist that simultaneously targets the glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor, the gastric inhibitory polypeptide (GIP) receptor, and the glucagon (GCG) receptor. Developed by EnliTISA (Shanghai) Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., it is currently in early-stage clinical development for the treatment of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). By integrating the pharmacological effects of all three hormones—enhancing insulin secretion and satiety (GLP-1/GIP), increasing energy expenditure (GCG), and improving lipid metabolism—TISA-818 is designed to reduce hepatic steatosis, inflammation, and fibrosis more effectively than mono- or dual-receptor agonists. The drug is administered via subcutaneous injection and is being evaluated for its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetic profile in Phase 1 clinical trials.
