Overview
Tiscover is a cultured autologous skin product developed for the treatment of chronic leg wounds, specifically chronic leg ulcers (ulcera cruris) of venous, arteriosclerotic, or mixed origin. The therapy involves harvesting a patient's own skin cells, culturing them to create new skin tissue in vitro, and then applying this tissue to the wound site after appropriate wound bed preparation. This approach aims to promote healing by providing living autologous cells that can integrate with the patient’s tissue and support regeneration. Clinical studies have investigated its effectiveness compared to standard treatments such as acellular dermal matrices and vacuum-assisted closure therapy[4][9].
