Tislelizumab + pazopanib is a combination therapy being investigated for the treatment of advanced renal cell carcinoma. Pazopanib is an orally active, multi-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) that inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR-1, -2, and -3), platelet-derived growth factor receptors (PDGFR-alpha and -beta), and the stem cell factor receptor (c-Kit). By combining these two agents, the therapy aims to achieve a synergistic effect by simultaneously inhibiting tumor angiogenesis and enhancing the immune system's ability to recognize and destroy cancer cells.
