Overview

Tislelizumab + pazopanib is a combination therapy being investigated for the treatment of advanced renal cell carcinoma. Tislelizumab is a humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody designed to bind to the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor, thereby blocking its interaction with PD-L1 and PD-L2 and restoring the anti-tumor activity of T cells. Pazopanib is an orally active, multi-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) that inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR-1, -2, and -3), platelet-derived growth factor receptors (PDGFR-alpha and -beta), and the stem cell factor receptor (c-Kit). By combining these two agents, the therapy aims to achieve a synergistic effect by simultaneously inhibiting tumor angiogenesis and enhancing the immune system's ability to recognize and destroy cancer cells. This specific combination is being evaluated in clinical trials sponsored by institutions such as The First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University.
