Overview

Tislelizumab + SOX + HIPEC is an investigational combination treatment regimen being evaluated for the treatment of gastric cancer with peritoneal metastasis. The regimen integrates systemic immunotherapy, systemic chemotherapy, and locoregional therapy. It consists of **tislelizumab**, a humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody that targets the programmed death-1 (PD-1) receptor to enhance anti-tumor T-cell responses; the **SOX regimen**, a standard systemic chemotherapy combination comprising the oral fluoropyrimidine **S-1** (tegafur/gimeracil/oteracil) and the platinum-based agent **oxaliplatin**; and **hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC)**, which in this specific clinical context utilizes **docetaxel**. This triple-modality approach is being studied by Southwest Hospital in China to improve surgical conversion rates and overall survival in patients with advanced gastric cancer that has spread to the peritoneum, a population typically associated with a poor prognosis.
